Are We Ready For The First Face Transplant?

The prospect of the world's first face transplant has sparked a fierce debate over the ethical and medical implications of such a radical procedure. Teams from the US, Britain, China and Colombia now all have the expertise to graft the face of a dead donor onto a burn victim or someone suffering from face cancer. Is this pushing too far with ideas that impinge on our understanding of what normality is; or is this long awaited news for people who would hope to benefit from such advances?
